2026 USPS Promotions – Sweeter than 2025?
September 17, 2025   Dave Lewis

Details have been released on the 2026 USPS Promotions.  Many of the promotions are the same as they were this year, but with greater incentives offered.  Don’t like higher postage rates?  Cut them yourself by participating in as many as you can.  All but one of last year’s promotions are back (Sorry IMbA), and the discounts have been increased to 5%.

  • The biggest news in promotions is the Catalog Insights promotion that starts on October 1, 2025.  That’s right – this year!  Eligible catalogs can get a 10% discount – and you can even stack on Sustainability and Informed Delivery for a total discount of 12%...PLUS .5% for the eDoc submitter!
  • The Informed Delivery promotion again is an “add-on” with other promotions, earning the mailer a 1% discount, and the eDoc submitter the same .5% discount they earned in past promotions.
  • Sustainability is back as an “add-on” promotion for an additional 1% discount.  To qualify, you must use recycled paper that bears an FSC mark, or equivalent.
  • Another promotion introduced last year, Continuous Contact, will be available for Marketing Mail only.  This promotion will now offer a 5% discount!  The objective is to create multiple mailings to the same household over time.  The Postal Service is trying to reinforce the idea that response rates can improve when households get another direct mail effort.  The discount will not be on the first mailing to an address; it is only available on subsequent mailings.  Stack on ID and Sustainability, and you have a 7% total discount!
  • The Tactile, Sensory, Interactive promotion will be back, so get ready to fuzz up those mail pieces!  Well, embossing seems to be the preferred method in 2025.  As with other 2026 promotions, the discount has been pumped up to 5%.  The add-ons can take it to 7%!
  • Integrated Technology will also be back, with a 5% discount and Mobile Shopping is still eligible!  There had been talk last year about doing away with that, but it is back.  Add-ons?  Why not?  7% for you!
  • The First-Class Mail Advertising promotion is back as well, with a new, improved 5% discount.  7% with add-ons.
  • The Reply Mail IMbA is one promotion that will not return in 2026.

Dates and Discounts

Primary Promotions:

  • Catalog Insights:  10% discount, October 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.
  • Continuous Contact:  5%, April 1 through December 31, 2026;
  • Tactile, Sensory, and Interactive: 5% discount, January 1 through June 30, 2026;
  • Integrated Technology:  5% discount, pick your favorite six consecutive months, anytime during 2026;
  • FCM Advertising: 5% discount, September 1 through December 31, 2026.

Add-On Promotions:

  • Informed Delivery and Sustainability:  These promotions will be available year-round, but must be added to another primary promotion.  For example, a mailer participating in the Continuous Contact promotion will get a 5% discount, but they can also “stack” an Informed Delivery campaign, for an additional 1% discount (plus .5% for the eDoc submitter), AND get an additional 1% discount for participating in the Sustainability promotion, for a total discount of 7%.

Taking Advantage of 2026 Promotions

USPS promotions provide great opportunities for both mailers and mail service providers.  A mailer can, for example, participate in the Tactile, Sensory, and Interactive promotion beginning January 1, earning a 5% discount, and adding 2% with Informed Delivery and Sustainability.  When that promotion runs out, they may be able to switch to Integrated Technology for 5% off, and for additional discounts,  add Informed Delivery and Sustainability to that promotion.

The mail service provider may have an opportunity to gain a .5% postage credit year-round by helping customers take advantage of the Informed Delivery add-on.  It will require more planning, and perhaps a dive into new promotion territory, but the return can be great.

The Postal Service’s goal in stacking promotions like this is to encourage mailers to try new and different promotions.  Given the constant stream of postage increases, this is an essential component to clawing some of that postage back.

2025 promotions remain in effect and have not been changed.  This article is about next year’s (2026) promotions.
