SERVICE PERFORMANCE MODERATES – STILL WORSE THAN LAST YEAR

Fairy ordinary performance by USPS last week, by recent standards.  First-Class flats look terrible, but we’ll put an asterisk on that, as the sample was small, although it was evenly distributed across the country.  First-Class letters were delivered on time 88.1% of the time, down just a touch from last week.  Marketing Mail staid about the same as last week.

We’ll be doing some year-over-year comparisons, so stay tuned for those.  Just a sneak preview:  In March 2022, First-Class flats were delivered 93.8% of the time.  In March 2023, First-Class flats were delivered 56.8% of the time.
