FIRST-CLASS SERVICE MUDDLES ALONG – JUST A LITTLE SLOWER, LATER

Last week was about as “normal” a delivery week as we have seen lately. Marketing Mail remains pretty well pegged at service in the 90 – 95% percentile range (Slow standard, very little Postal transportation.) First-Class Mail, where we are tracking lots of Postal transportation shows a mediocre week. Perhaps more important than the on-time percentage is days-to-delivery. Both are slower than their annual average. Mail is taking a little longer to deliver. Ironically, when the Postal Service touts its one-number overall delivery figure, Marketing Mail helps bring the number lower.
